Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Shiloh Mennonite Church based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
Serving our Righteous King -- “Jesus is Lord.”
Foundational Scriptures
Romans 1:16-17: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is
the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew
first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed
from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Philippians 2:10-11: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
glory of God the Father.

Submitting to Jesus’ Reigning Kingdom -- “I
will build my church.”
Foundational Scriptures
Matthew 16:15-19: He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living
God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-
Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father
who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this
rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail
against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and
whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you
loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Matthew 18:15-20 15: “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go
and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you
have gained your brother. But if he will not hear, take with you one or
two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may
be established.’ And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But
if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen
and a tax collector. “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth
will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed
in heaven. “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth
concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father
in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I
am there in the midst of them.”

Sharing Jesus’ Relevant Gospel -- “Go...make
disciples.”
Foundational Scriptures
Matthew 28:18-20: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All
authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore
and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Romans 12:1-2: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to
God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you
may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
